How old were you when you started knitting?

I can’t remember learning but took it up seriously again about ten years ago – it keeps me sane. Nowadays I only get to knit after the kiddies are asleep.

What is your favourite chocolate?

After a long deliberation of all Lindt flavours I have decided on Cherry Intense as my favorite of all.

Who is your celebrity crush?

I’ve loved Gary Barlow since I was about 14 and I think he gets more and more handsome every year.

What are you knitting at the moment?

A beautiful ombré jumper in kidsilk haze. It starts black then goes to dark grey, then light grey and lastly baby pink. It uses three strands held together so it’s super soft.

What is your favourite holiday location?

I’m totally digging North Devon at the mo. Particularly Saunton Sands. Our boys have such a blast there I can’t help but enjoy myself (even if it’s chucking down)

What is your Favourite film?

Point Break is my all time fave but I recently watched a great film a few weeks ago called Begin Again which I loved.

Likes

Halloumi cheese, hanging out the washing, adidas trainers, Game of Thrones, the view from my garden, the smell of sunscreen.

Closing note

My aim in life is to be as fabulous as my dog thinks I am.

How old were you when you started knitting?

My grandmother taught me when I was about 5 I think. I don’t remember being overly interested until about ten years ago when Laura started up a knit club. Since then I’ve been addicted.

What is your favourite chocolate?
Mint Aero

Who is your celebrity crush?
Gene Kelly

What are you knitting at the moment?
I always have a couple of projects on the go at the same time. At the moment it’s a Kim Hargreaves lace off the shoulder jumper which I’m doing in Debbie Bliss Party Angel and, because I love it so much, the same pattern again in King Cole’s Bamboo Cotton 4ply

What is your favourite holiday location?
So far my favorite holiday was to Jamaica. So beautiful and relaxed

How old were you when you started knitting?
My addiction to knitting started at the tender age of ten. My mum got me started young.
What is your favourite chocolate?

Dairy Milk. Hands down. Not with nuts though. Just plain. Yes please!

Who is your celebrity crush?

I only have eyes for my husband…. So mushy!

What are you knitting at the moment?

The question really should be what am I NOT knitting at the moment. Amongst a zillion other projects I am knitting a jumper for said husband that will take me FOREVER. It’s charcoal grey, DK, fisherman’s rib. A labour of love!

What is your favourite holiday location?

Dartmouth, Devon

What is your Favourite film?

You know what, it’s Tarzan, the Disney version. I have no shame.

Likes

The colours in traffic lights, hugs, playing the piano and ukulele, fresh pyjamas, blueberry pancakes for breakfast, adventures

Closing note

I meet a lot of lovely ladies* in our shop who are determined to finish their current project before starting a new one. I say throw caution to the wind! If you want to start a new project then do it. It’s way more fun to have an array of projects to choose from than to torture yourself waiting. Knit long and prosper!

*and a few brave men

Now living in Bath to help and support Laura with fabulous “wool”, we are enjoying the delights of our grandsons Joseph and Ted. We cannot imagine not being here as the boys are growing up so quickly and are so unbelievably precious. Words fail me! The joy and love is priceless. (*Laura sobs in the corner*)

Likes

My new glasses (eat your heart out Elton!) A cup of tea with my feet up in the garden listening to the birds chatting. Better still with a delicious home baked cupcake from Jemma.

But first and last the love of all my family and simply being together -albeit crawling around on all fours playing peekaboo or hide and seek- and chatting about everyone’s day. Such joy and contentment is bliss!
